Sustainable Goals

Huckabuck Hills is committed to creating a sustainable living space where ever possible. In that regard, we request our guests do so as well. We ask that you make a sincere effort by abiding by the following guidelines:

  • Bring all plastic, metal, glass waste home with you. There is no recycling here. It is preferable that you refrain from bringing plastic at all. We provide free filtered well water to drink.

  • We compost food waste. Please put food water in appropriate containers.

  • Please put paper waste in appropriate containers.

  • Many items you see are handmade from materials found here on the property and also found in the streets and dumpsters of New Orleans.

  • We recommend that you bring small towels because they dry faster; fewer resources used.
